Grand Space Opera: LIGHT AGE | Cinematic Keyframes

Storyline:

In the near future, due to its own technological development, flying at the speed of light and jumping in space became real, Mankind was finally invited by the ancient alliance of civilizations of the Milky Way galaxy to become a new member. After receiving special training for half a year, the world’s most experienced astronauts drove the UN-07 spaceship to fly at the speed of light and arrived at a very mysterious planet in the Milky Way far away from the Earth, and before the Alliance of Civilization contacted us, there was no actual coordinate could be found. It should be said that it was an invisible planet that we could not detect before...

Finally, this moment will be written in the annals of our civilization's history.

Keyframe/Shot #01 - The gathering at the Holy Temple

Establishing shot ( standard lens 35mm ), Spaceships from various members of galaxy alliances descending at the dock of the Holy Temple. The residents of the planet also came to celebrate the first visit of the Earthlings as new members of the Alliance.

The whole process for making these keyframes was extremely a challenge to me since there is not much time left when I entered. So have to be smart for the time I have and also had to cut off a lot of original ideas planed in my head for the story. But I've learnt a lot through this challenge, like shot planning, quick sketching, speed modeling and rendering in Blender, also solving technical issues of the rendering process and level-up my paint over skills as well. There is still a lot that needs to be improved especially the colour tone of the finals feels a bit off but there is no time for fixing them before they due, overall I'd say this was a great time I had before the Christmas break!
